One for All

Sunday, August 2, is a day of celebration; for it’s the day that Bible study for adults resumes at RHBC! One for All, a combination of all adult Bible study classes, will convene in the Crossover from 9:45-10:15 for consideration of prayer concerns and a study of God’s word. Discussions will be led on a rotational basis by Joe Blackstock, John Chambliss, and Wanda Ware. Please note that at this time there are no scheduled activities for children or youth.…

Morning Worship

Morning worship begins at 10:30 in the sanctuary each Sunday morning. But, you’ll want to be in the sanctuary early to greet folks you already know and/or make new friends who are joining us for worship for the first time. In addition, you’ll hear announcements about upcoming events, learn how prayer concerns are shared, and learn more about the daily life at RHBC. As followers of Christ, we worship our Lord through music, scripture, prayer, and the study of His…

Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry obtains most of its food from the Feeding America Southwest Virginia Food Bank. Part of what we receive is USDA food which comes at no charge. Because we receive a large percentage of food through the USDA food program, we must operate by rules and regulations which they have implemented. This involves completing required forms for all clients in order to qualify them for USDA food. We are permitted to serve each client once per month. The…

Communion

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to His disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then He took the cup and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant which is poured for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when…

Deacons, Doughnuts, and Donations

On each fifth Sunday the Deacons of RHBC host a special Love Offering with the goal of replenishing the Deacon Fund. This fund is used to assist RHBC members in times of crises who express needs for financial assistance. A team of Deacons prayerfully considers each request and, when able, contributes to the aid of the member in stress. Members may contribute to the Deacon Fund in one of two ways on the Fifth Sunday devoted to replenishing the benevolent…
