Unlike many others, Pastor Douglas was not raised in church. He was a totally secular man with a degree in Communications and a background in broadcasting. At that time he had no Biblical knowledge, no spiritual awareness, and no interest in the things of God. Then at Christmas of 2003 he saw some Biblical quotations in a book he was reading, which prompted him to read the Bible. In the months it took to read cover to cover, he came faith in Jesus. On Good Friday, April 9th of 2004, he placed his faith in Christ, declared Him to be his Lord and Savior, and was reborn into the Kingdom of God.
Almost immediately, he was called into the ministry as a Christian counselor, a teacher, and then Associate Pastor of a new mission church plant in central Illinois. He attended College in the Chicago area and earned a degree in Theology, discovered strong gifts for evangelism, teaching, and rightly dividing the Word of God, and it has been his passion ever since.
He and his wife Heather were ordained at Christ Temple Church in Huntington, West Virginia before being sent to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to serve nine years as Senior Pastor of Faith Tabernacle Church, Adjunct Professor of South Florida Bible College and Theological Seminary, Chair of the ministry’s Academic Board, and Director of their Addiction Recovery program.
Pastor Douglas and Pastor Heather answered the call of God to join Rosalind Hills in June of 2022 to minister the Abundance of Grace and the Gift of Righteousness, to see God’s people be empowered to be who He has called them to be, and to advance the Kingdom of God by strengthening believers in a dynamic way that focuses on their new identity in Christ.
