Through outdoor skills and adventures, young boys and teenagers (ages 8-18) not only experience and explore their environment, they also interact with trained mentors who share the love of Jesus and his role as a heavenly father. For many young boys and teenagers in an urban setting, KOZ involvement spurs a needed balance of indoor/outdoor activity. And, in a world comprised of many single-parent families nurtured by a mother and/or grandmother, the ministry provides male role models.
At RHBC the three men who coordinate and lead the activities are certified as KOZ Harvest Team Leaders (outdoor mentors). Following their training, these men plan their meetings/adventures with the boys based on the curriculum provided.
Boys who participate do not need to be members of RHBC. If you have a son who might be interested in the activities or know of a young boy or teenager who would like to join the group, please call the church office (344.7888) for more information.
Check the church calendar frequently for the specific dates and times of a variety of scheduled KOZ events.
