These “pandemic” times call for creative, resourceful strategies to bring God’s people together for worship. Initially we began by broadcasting via Facebook with only Pastors Joe and Tony in the sanctuary; then we added the musical talents of Brian, Cathy, and Barry.
Currently, we’ve expanded to an on-site service, strictly adhering to phase three guidelines for hygienic safety; and we continue to offer Facebook live for our members who feel safer in their home environments. And, we believe God provides this platform as an avenue to others who may be searching…
What’s next for RHBC as an outreach strategy during these unusual times?
On Sunday, August 2, RHBC will host its first drive-in, morning worship service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Realizing that attending an on-site service during these pandemic times is not a healthful decision for many RHBC members, the drive-in service offers an alternative environment–the safety of one’s own car.
So, let’s fill the lower parking lot by the Child Development Center on Sunday, August 2. We’ll begin the service at 10:30 a.m. Bring your entire family or travel solo, remain in your car, tune your radio to the specific channel as directed by our pastors, and participate in worship. You’ll see that church in cars is possible, indeed!
Hopefully, some of our neighbors and/or passersby will be so curious that they will pull into the lot and join us as we worship through prayer, music, scripture, and message!
