On each fifth Sunday the Deacons of RHBC host a special Love Offering with the goal of replenishing the Deacon Fund. This fund is used to assist RHBC members in times of crises who express needs for financial assistance. A team of Deacons prayerfully considers each request and, when able, contributes to the aid of the member in stress.
Members may contribute to the Deacon Fund in one of two ways on the Fifth Sunday devoted to replenishing the benevolent fund: 1) before or after morning worship, place your donation–designated for the Deacon Fund–in a box located at the back of the sanctuary or 2) drop by the crossover from 10:00-10:30 a.m. to chat with the Deacons, enjoy some fresh coffee along with a tasty doughnut, and make your contribution to the Deacon Fund.
