Adult Music Ministry
“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:19-20

Music plays a vital role in the worship and educational life of the Rosalind Hills Baptist Church. We believe that music is one of God’s finest gifts to humanity and we strive to use it as effectively as possible. Shunning the tired and worn out categories of “traditional” and “contemporary” worship, our worship music is an eclectic combination of forms and styles by which we praise God, build up the body of believers, and voice our witness to others. At Rosalind Hills, the music used in no two worship services is exactly the same. One worship service may feature standard hymns and songs played on the organ and piano, while another may feature some of today’s finest modern worship music. The best of classic Christian hymns, praise and worship songs, and modern hymns is sung at Rosalind Hills. Our priority in worship is exalting Jesus Christ; therefore, we focus on the essence of worship, not the style.
The main service choir at our church is The Chancel Choir, which sings weekly at the 11:00 am service. Seasonal programs at Christmas and Holy Week are also presented. This choir has a wide-ranging repertoire that embraces hundreds of years of choral music in many styles and from many sources. Membership is open to anyone high school age or older. No audition is required. Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights 7:35-8:45 pm (6:30-7:45 during the summer months) in the Choir Suite.
If you have any questions about the music program at Rosalind Hills Baptist, please contact Paul French, Minister of Music and Worship, at 540-344-7888 or at paul@rosalindhills.org.
